Bucknall Area Service Office was a council office located on Werrington Road. It was opened in 1980 and was in use until 2015, when the council moved the services out of the building.
It was vacant for around 1 year, until Kinetic Academy in Meir earmarked the building to run a small Special Educational Needs (SEN) school - with the intentions of leasing the property from the local authority. An application was made to Stoke-on-Trent City Council in July 2016, and was approved in August 2016 - but the plans never materialised and the school never opened. [2]
By 2019, the building was purchased by AC Environmental Consulting Ltd and renamed to Environment House. A planning application was made to Stoke-on-Trent City Council in February 2019 to change the use of the first floor to a dance school for community usage, and was approved in March 2019. [3] The company have since moved into a large section on the ground floor in the property, with the first floor being used as a dance school with community usage, and the remaining areas on the ground floor being serviced offices which are available to rent.
